The 151st Anniversary Concert and Ball will be held the evening of January 26, 2008. The Philadelphia Orchestra returns once again for a performance in the magnificent Academy of Music. Following the wildly popular concert format of the 150th Anniversary celebration, Maestro Christoph Eschenbach will conduct the Fabulous Philadelphians in an exciting program featuring world popular and classical performers. The concert will begin at 7:30 PM and will be performed without an intermission.

Following the Anniversary Concert, guests will “promenade” to the Park Hyatt at the Bellevue for a white-tie gala, including a champagne supper, dancing to the sounds of many fabulous dance orchestras, topped off with midnight fireworks.

The theme for this year's Concert and Ball is "From this Moment On…” focusing on an exciting and vibrant future for Philadelphia’s beloved National Historic Landmark, the Academy of Music, home of Broadway at the Academy, the Pennsylvania Ballet and the Opera Company of Philadelphia.

Proceeds benefit the Academy of Music Restoration Fund and The Philadelphia Orchestra Association.
