The Orchestra anxiously awaits takeoff as they prepare to embark on a week-long tour through the Sunshine State.

And they're off!

This morning, the Orchestra headed to the Philadelphia International Airport to embark on a five-concert, multi-city, week-long tour of Florida with guest conductor Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos.

It's sure to be a whirlwind week of performances, with stops in West Palm Beach, Miami, Naples, and Sarasota with pianist André Watts, who is also a Philadelphia native. While we're sure they'll enjoy a break from the cold, it's all work for this dedicated group of musicians.  Make sure to check back here each day for updates, behind-the-scenes photos, and more.
