The Philadelphia Orchestra's 2012 Summer Season

The Philadelphia Orchestra launched the 2012 summer season with a return to its outdoor summer home, the Mann Center for the Performing Arts, on June 27, 29, and 30; the ensemble performs three additional concerts July 19-21. From July 6 to 14 the Orchestra decamps to the Rocky Mountains for its sixth annual residency at the Bravo! Vail Valley Music Festival, where Music Director Designate Yannick Nézet-Séguin makes his conducting debut. The summer season culminates with three weeks of performances at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center (Aug. 1-18), which also marks Nézet-Séguin’s first conducting appearances at that venue.
The Orchestra performs two Neighborhood Concerts: July 26, at 7 PM, at Curtis Arboretum in Wyncote, PA, and July 27, at 8 PM, at the RiverStage at the Great Plaza at Penn's Landing.
