College Performance Series

The Philadelphia Orchestra's educational programs do not stop at the concert hall.

College SeriesThe Education and Community Partnerships Department’s College Performance Series collaborates with neighboring universities, to bring chamber performances, featuring Philadelphia Orchestra musicians, to college students. The program is presented in an informal setting, typically in dormitory lounges and other public facilities at the universities. The concerts are open to the students and faculty of the universities free of charge.

Chamber ensemble as well as recital programs have been featured and include approximately 45 minutes of music with spoken introductions from the stage, followed by a brief Q & A with the audience. The concert program is selected by the ensemble with no restrictions on repertoire.
