Three Russian titans, Rachmaninoff, Stravinsky, and Rimsky-Korsakov have created some of the most popular orchestral music of all time. We celebrate the brilliance of master orchestral wizard Rimsky-Korsakov’s iconic Russian Easter Overture, the lush nostalgic romanticism of Rachmaninoff in his Paganini Rhapsody and the savage power of Stravinsky in his earth-shattering Rite of Spring, celebrating the 100th anniversary of its premiere this year. The dynamic young Ukrainian conductor Kiril Karabits makes his Mann Center debut in this concert.
