Open Rehearsals for Students

Open Rehearsals

Experience The Philadelphia Orchestra like never before!

For High School and College Students

Don’t miss the opportunity to go behind the scenes and watch The Philadelphia Orchestra at work in rehearsal. Students observe first-hand the artistic collaboration between world-class musicians and conductors. Open Rehearsals begin promptly at 10:30 AM, end at 1:00 PM, and include a 20-minute break. If necessary, groups may leave during this intermission, which occurs approximately one hour into the rehearsal.

Pre-Rehearsal Conversation
Enrich this educational experience by attending a Pre-Rehearsal Conversation with one of the artists involved in the rehearsal. These half-hour talks begin at 9:45 AM and provide valuable insight and a personal connection to the music. Held in the Kimmel Center’s Rendell Room, the Pre-Rehearsal Conversation is limited to 200 participants.

Dates for the 2012-13 Philadelphia Orchestra Student Open Rehearsals will be announced at a later time. Please check back soon for additional information.
