Celebrate the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with this free community concert. Guest Conductor Thomas Wilkins leads The Philadelphia Orchestra, speaker Charlotte Blake Alston, and the Philadelphia All City Choir. Combining the traditions of African-American culture and Western classical music, the concert pays tribute to Dr. King’s vision of a society free of prejudice and racial divisions, and his belief in the power of music to help create positive change. This year’s program explores the theme of “Voices” and lifts up the voices of the past, as well as the voices of tomorrow, in words and in song.

Seating is general admission and is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Limit four FREE tickets per person. Doors open at 2:15 PM.
