Artistic Excellence
The Philadelphia Orchestra has achieved global renown throughout its history for artistic excellence and its plush sound. We are pleased to honor Chief Conductor, Charles Dutoit’s 30-year musical partnership and association with The Philadelphia Orchestra and to welcome Yannick Nézet-Séguin, The Philadelphia Orchestra’s next music director.
Between September and May, the Orchestra performs a regular subscription series in Verizon Hall, with several supplemental appearances at New York’s Carnegie Hall. Our summer schedule includes free Neighborhood Concerts in the community, a series of performances at Philadelphia’s Mann Center, and residencies at the Bravo! Vail Valley Music Festival and Saratoga Performing Arts Center. The Orchestra also embarks on a national or international tour each year.
