Enriching A Sound
Artistic
Raised to Date: $79 Million

One of the cornerstones of the campaign has been endowing musicians’ chairs.  Today the number of endowed chairs stands at 29 – up from 9 when the campaign began.  Donors who have chosen to make unrestricted gifts to the artistic portion of the campaign support the artistic growth of our musicians, allow us to showcase the best guest talent that the world has to offer, and ensure the Orchestra’s tradition of fostering artistic excellence at every level.

Enriching A City
Education and Community Partnerships
Raised to Date: $19.5 Million

Almost since its inception The Philadelphia Orchestra has been engaged in presenting its music to children of this region, whether in the concert hall or in the classroom.  Now more than ever before, fulfilling this mission has become a core part of the Orchestra’s season, and the range of these education and community partnership activities has expanded to a remarkable level.  Gifts in support of these efforts will allow the Orchestra to continue to engage and excite our children and to bring symphonic music into our neighborhoods.

Enriching A Civilization
Technology and Innovation
Raised to Date: $20 Million
The catalogue of Philadelphia Orchestra “firsts” in the area of technology is well known: first orchestra to make a commercial recording, first to be heard in a motion picture score, first to stream a concert live over the Internet, among others.  Gifts in the area of technology will enable the Orchestra to use newly installed robotic cameras and a fiber-optic network to enhance our local, national and international artistic reputation, and expand our audience beyond the concert hall.
