In celebration of our one hundred fourteenth season the Board of Directors and the Volunteer Committees for The Philadelphia Orchestra Association request the pleasure of your company at The Philadelphia Orchestra Opening Night Concert and Gala Join us in celebrating the opening of Philadelphia’s cultural season with an evening of celebration and fanfare. WEDNESDAY, THE TWENTY-FIFTH OF SEPTEMBER TWO THOUSAND THIRTEEN Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts HALF PAST FIVE O’CLOCK Chairmen’s Reception, Perelman Theater SIX O’CLOCK Champagne Reception for all concert-goers, Commonwealth Plaza SEVEN O’CLOCK Concert, Verizon Hall Dinner immediately following the concert After-dinner musical entertainment by the DePue Brothers BLACK TIE		Concert The Philadelphia Orchestra Yannick Nézet-Séguin Conductor Anne-Sophie Mutter Violin Tchaikovsky Marche slave Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto Tchaikovsky Romeo and Juliet Listen to a clip of Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto This concert will be performed without an intermission. Musicians of The Philadelphia Orchestra are graciously donating their services for this concert.
