Illuminate your concert-going experience! One hour before each subscription concert, The Philadelphia Orchestra presents a leading expert on the evening’s musical program. The speakers include pioneering musicologists from across the nation, and experienced musicians drawn from the Orchestra’s ranks or Philadelphia’s wider musical landscape. The audience will gain insight into the music and have the opportunity to ask questions. Occasionally a guest artist or composer will feature in an exclusive interview.

All PreConcert Conversations are held in the Rendell Room at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, except in the case of Friday matinee concerts, when the lectures are held in Verizon Hall. These are free to all concertgoers and start one hour before every subscription concert.
