Conductor Neeme Järvi has graciously agreed to conduct The Philadelphia Orchestra in its Verizon Hall concerts on March 26, 27, 28, and 29, 2009. Conductor Emmanuel Krivine, who was originally scheduled to lead these performances, has withdrawn due to illness. Sibelius’s Andante festivo, in its first Philadelphia Orchestra performances, replaces Debussy’s Printemps on the program. The remainder of the program— Khachaturian’s Violin Concerto with Gil Shaham and Dvořák’s Symphony No. 8—is unchanged.
