The Philadelphia Orchestra launches its 2011 Summer Season
Fresh from the successful close of its subscription season at the Kimmel Center, The Philadelphia Orchestra launches its 2011 Summer Season on June 28. The Orchestra performs three festive concerts at the Mann Center for the Performing Arts; visits Longwood Gardens for an evening of music under the stars; returns for its annual residencies at the Bravo! Vail Valley Music Festival and the Saratoga Performing Arts Center; and makes debut appearances at the Lanaudière Festival in Joliette, Quebec. The summer season culminates with the three-week 2011 European Festivals Tour, which features 13 concerts in seven countries.
