David Kim

Born in Carbondale, Illinois in 1963, he started playing the violin at the age of three, began studies with the famed pedagogue Dorothy DeLay at the age of eight, and later received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the Juilliard School. Allison Vulgamore

President and CEO

Allison Vulgamore became president and chief executive officer of The Philadelphia Orchestra Association in January 2010. Ms. Vulgamore comes to Philadelphia from the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra (ASO), where she was appointed president and managing director in 1993; in January 2008, she received the title of president and chief executive officer in recognition of her outstanding leadership of the Orchestra.
