It’s an exciting season at The Philadelphia Orchestra and we’re making waves about it. Opening with Chief Conductor Charles Dutoit and violinist Joshua Bell through to the close with Berlioz’s massive Damnation of Faust, this season brings to life an immense variety of programs. Shades of various art forms fill the 2010-11 season, with musical connections to literature, mythology, theater, visual arts, and dance. In celebration of collaboration, the Orchestra will open and close the Philadelphia International Festival of the Arts (PIFA) with two spectacular programs–a collaborative performance of Stravinky’s complete Pulcinella with Pennsylvania Ballet and a program of Stravinsky’s mythological compositions Apollon musagete and Oedipus Rex. This season is not to be missed. Catch the wave and subscribe today!
