Using the magic of music and theater, The Philadelphia Orchestra and Enchantment Theater Company bring you the legendary stories of our heroine Sheherazade and her tales of 1,001 Arabian nights.
Looking for world class performances of great music this June? Members of The Philadelphia Orchestra, musicians from the Astral Artists roster, and local shining stars join forces for four brilliant concerts at the Delaware Chamber Music Festival, June 13-22. Now in its 29th season, these concerts, curated by Philadelphia Orchestra violinist Barbara Govatos, feature time honored works by Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, and Brahms; unfinished works of Haydn, Dvořák and Schubert; two masterworks by Rebecca Clarke and Louise Farrenc; local premieres of works by Kenji Bunch and Clancy Newman; and off-the-cuff spoken program notes by the artists. Each concert is followed by a reception to meet the artists (Barbara Govatos, Hirono Oka, Burchard Tang, Che-Hung Chen, Clancy Newman, Marcantonio Barone, Charles Abramovic, and Benito Meza).

In addition to the chamber concerts, the Festival offers free performances on June 2 and June 3 of Pete the Cat: Rocking in My School Shoes, a 30-minute interactive program for toddlers and children up to 7 years old.
