The Philadelphia Orchestra Gets Out the Vote

October 07, 2013

As baseball legend Yogi Berra famously said, “It ain’t over ‘til it’s over.”

Bachtrack.com , the London-based classical music concert database and review site, is having a contest asking followers what is their favorite orchestra at http://www.bachtrack.com/worlds-favourite-orchestra-2013.

Right now, The Cleveland Orchestra leads at 27.1 percent. In second place is the Berlin Philharmonic at 7.5 percent. Rounding out the top five are the London Symphony Orchestra, the RTÉ Concert Orchestra and the Detroit Symphony Orchestra.

All are great ensembles, but we know The Philadelphia Orchestra deserves to be ranked in the top tier.

So, we’re asking you, fans of the Fabulous Philadelphians, to go to the site and vote for us: http://www.bachtrack.com/worlds-favourite-orchestra-2013.

And, then, help us get out the vote. Voting ends today so we need to mobilize now. Email your fellow fans. Share on Facebook. Tweet away.

Help us make sure The Philadelphia Orchestra gets the recognition it deserves. With your help, victory is within our grasp.

Thanks for your support.
