The Philadelphia Orchestra Volunteer Committees to Host Perfect Harmony: Unforgettable Evening of Music, Culture, and Entertainment

April 4, 2013

Rub Elbows with Orchestra Musicians; Enjoy Live and Silent Auctions, Cocktails, Food, and More

(Philadelphia, April 4, 2013) – The Philadelphia Orchestra Volunteer Committees present their biennial fundraising event, Perfect Harmony, on Friday, April 19, at the Acorn Club in Philadelphia. This spectacular evening of music, culture, and entertainment features cocktails, supper catered by the Acorn Club, musical presentations, and silent and live auctions—with many items donated by The Philadelphia Orchestra’s own musicians.

Hosted by professional auctioneer Barry Slosberg, each auction offers an array of one-of-a-kind items for every type of guest. Thrill-seekers will get their chance at winning everything from an exotic African safari to a one-week Tuscan villa stay, while arts and culture connoisseurs can experience a dinner for six cooked by Philadelphia Orchestra President and CEO Allison Vulgamore, or dinner for 10 at Girasole with Philadelphia Orchestra Music Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin. Additional auction items include private yoga lessons, a cocktail party with two of the Orchestra’s own Fabulous Philadelphians—Concertmaster David Kim and second violinist Davyd Booth, a pre-game dinner for 12 in the Philadelphia Phillies Owner’s box complete with a visit from the Philly Phanatic, and more. Auctioneer services are being generously donated by Barry S. Slosberg Inc. Auctioneers/Appraisers.

Co-chaired by Alison Avery Lerman and Nancy Ronning, the evening will also feature musical presentations by members of the Orchestra. For an extended listing of auction items, for more information, or to RSVP, call 215.893.3124 or visit www.philorch.org/perfharm. Seating is limited.
