On June 17, 2021, The Philadelphia Orchestra and the Kimmel Center announced a pathbreaking partnership to create a brighter, more inclusive, innovative cultural future for Philadelphia: The Philadelphia Orchestra and Kimmel Center, Inc.

With the creation of The Philadelphia Orchestra and Kimmel Center, Inc., we unite two organizations from a position of strength to bring the greatest performances and most impactful education and community programs, in-person and digitally, to the diverse audiences of our city, and beyond. This new organization will reimagine the power of the arts to bring joy, create community, and effect change—to uplift all Philadelphians.

On October 21, 2021, the Board of Directors for the Kimmel Cultural Campus and the Board of Directors for The Philadelphia Orchestra unanimously approved the new partnership. As we write this exciting new chapter, under the leadership of new President & CEO Matías Tarnopolsky, we will be listening to our communities. What remains our guiding light is the power of the arts to bring us all together.
