Yannick Nézet-Séguin Conductor

Hunt Climb
Beethoven Symphony No. 3 (“Eroica”)

A vast ode to heroism, revolution, and freedom, the “Eroica” is considered by many to be the greatest of not just Beethoven's symphonies but the greatest of all time. Composer Jessica Hunt relates Beethoven’s personal struggles to her own experience with chronic illness, calling Climb “a letter-through-time to Beethoven to express my gratitude for his work and to express our silent kinship.”

Join us for Arts Launch 2021 on the Kimmel Cultural Campus! Yannick and Your Philadelphia Orchestra will present a free performance as the grand finale of this special event.

Please note: This is a free, general admission event. You will be seated on a first-come, first-served basis beginning 30 minutes prior to the start of the performance. Entry to the performance is not guaranteed.
