Program Notes

Prokofiev’s Second Violin Concerto transports the audience from somber notes to soaring themes and a frenetic finale. Daniel Lozakovich joins Principal Guest Conductor Nathalie Stutzmann and the Orchestra for this dynamic concerto. Tchaikovsky’s final symphony, completed just nine days before his death, stands as a soaring work and is filled with raw emotions ranging from sunny exuberance to solemn introspection. With his lush orchestrations and graceful melodies, Tchaikovsky captures this spectrum of sentiments with captivating technique and brilliance.
