Charitable Contributions in 2020

This year has presented multiple ways to support Your Philadelphia Orchestra, from donating your tickets to Annual Fund gifts. For the first time we are preparing comprehensive tax receipts for all donors. Receipts will be ready in January 2021. Those eligible will receive more information over the next few months.

To be eligible for a 2020 contribution, a gift with a credit card must be processed by 11:59 PM on December 31, 2020. Checks that are mailed must be postmarked by December 31, 2020. Stock gifts must be transferred and received by December 31, 2020.

The Annual Fund office will be open until 5 PM on December 31, 2020, to help you meet these deadlines.

The Cares Act has changed how you can deduct charitable contributions made in 2020.
Please consult your tax advisor regarding the handling of charitable contributions on your tax return.
