Program Notes

Join us for Our City, Your Orchestra Live—a special, free concert and festival honoring Northeast High School (NEHS) and its surrounding community.

From pieces showcasing the vibrant Brazilian spirit to the energy of the western frontier, this performance is a celebration of the diversity found at NEHS and the community. Plus, hear some fan-favorites from John Williams’s vast catalogue like the theme from E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial.

Pre-concert activities include bounce houses, games, concessions, and food trucks.

This concert is a live extension of the Orchestra’s groundbreaking Our City, Your Orchestra digital series, which uncovers and amplifies the voices, stories, and causes championed by unique Philly organizations and businesses that align with what The Philadelphia Orchestra is today, and what we are becoming.
